Accelerating Math Instruction: Giving All Learners Access to Grade Level Standards – Dr. Nicki Newton
Accelerating Math for Learning Recovery is a worldwide approach to helping ALL students learn on grade level. For students who are struggling with math, acceleration rather than remediation is the preferred approach to ensuring that ALL students get access to grade-level standards. It is about understanding how we use effective, research-based strategies that move students forward rather than keep them mired in the work of past grades. In this session, we will look at how we scaffold students through a path of learning that connects what they already can do with what they need to be able to do. Through video clips, case studies, and rich discussion we will explore Accelerating Math Instruction.
