    Where Does Practice & Homework Fit In? – Discussion

    I am taking another Course but Jon directed me here as I had a question on homework and practice and how that all fits in to the 3-part math framework of lessons. In our district we do not call it homework anymore, we call it practice. So the practice mentioned here is in the classroom and I learned some interesting ways to carry that out. I also learned here a different way to set up “homework”. It also seems that Homework is not given every night. (?) It has to be purposeful (which I felt mine was) but I know it can be better. It is definitely going to take some extra planning. Question for you, does your Core or Build section ever contain algorithms or do you only go with “word problems?”
