After watching this, I feel like our entire grading system is based on hares. We seldom give tortoises opportunity to revisit assessments weeks or months later although additional learning took place. When we talked about retests, it give students another try, but the time factor was seldom lengthened.

I had not heard of the Matthew Effect, so I looked it up and came across an interesting article about it and how to minimize it in the math classroom.
