How do I increase engagement for my non-Honors students in Virtual Learning in a meaningful way?

Hey @beth-hayden , I think a lot of us struggle with this. Have you checked out our latest Q & A call replay videos? We chat a lot about this. https://learn.makemathmoments.com/courses/q-a-calls/

I have been teaching at-risk (read disengaged) kids for 15 years. The most important factor for engaging kids who aren’t academically strong is to build a relationship with those kids. I text my kids to prompt them to pick up their learning (they don’t check emails but they do text! Free text number through TextNow has been a lifesaver!). I make sure they know I care about their well-being and let them know why I want them to learn.

@addie-otto That’s a great tip Addie. I haven’t seen that text messaging service. Makes so much sense.
