How do you plan to use this task?

After reviewing the Teacher Guide, do you still have any wonders or worries?

Once you’ve used the task, be sure to share what modifications you made either before or during the task and what you might do differently next time.

I used this task to introduce the idea of transversals on the first day of our new unit. I was glad I did it before they knew the angle relationships along a transversal. One of their methods to solve this was to place a marble on each shelf to see which ones the marble would roll of if (like the sliding books in the reveal). Another was to measure the distance from the ground to each side of the shelf to see which ones were equal. They did catch on pretty quickly once the angles were revealed since they did know vertical and supplementary from a prior unit. I will have to keep this one in my notes to begin my unit next year as well.

Hey @jay-DiMuzio So glad this task could help you out with that topic. Measuring from the ground is a good strategy as well!
