Setting up task (Notice & Wonder) in BTC classroom
I have the goal of setting up my classroom next year following the Building Thinking Classrooms protocols of getting kids up and working right away once class starts. So how would the notice and wonder (think-pair-share) work? Would I give the task and give the kids one minute to think about it and then send them to their boards for the day to ‘pair’ with their group members before sharing out? I think it would be much more difficult to have them in their groups before asking them to do the thinking portion, but I am not sure. Does anyone have experience here, or other ideas? (P.S. – I am teaching middle school (ages 11 – 14).)
