My first goal is to do a better job of navigating through this workshop. I am already on Module 2 and just figuring out that I should have followed along more carefully. Jumping in head-first and then asking “how do I do this” is exactly what I try to teach my students not to do.

    Anyway, other goals:

~ Learn how to create better lessons that “spark” curiosity.

~ Create lessons that lead to depth of learning rather than committal to short term memory tasks that teach to the test.

~ Learn different strategies to incorporate into my teaching (this old dog needs to let go of some old teaching strategies and move into productive present-day strategies).

~ Collect, Explore, and Incorporate new (to me) resources such as Math is Visual, Knowledgehook, and Desmos to name a few.

If I can do this, not only will I be more successful but more importantly a greater number of my students will be successful.

Way to hold yourself accountable. Lots of awesome goals here to start digging away on.
