My big take away from this lesson is about walking away before the student has the answer. I typically want to give encouragement and reinforce their thinking when I really need to try harder at walking away right before that moment.

I definitely want to get my has on the middle school edition of the book.

      Hi @SarahAlbert

Great take away! I still use this move anytime I haven’t prepared or can’t think of a purposeful question in the moment. Rather than saying too much (i.e.: telling), I walk away to visit another group, but still think about what I might say when I return to the first group.
