    1. Vertical writing surfaces–figure out the inexpensive logistics, implementation procedures. Implement-first of school

    2. Using some of the U-cubed Inspirational Math Week Resources for the first week, maybe days before the holiday, short days. Implement-first of school.

    3. Incorporating the 3Act Math tasks–need to do research to find grade-specific ones. Implement-definitely by September.

    4. Having a Monitor/Progress sheet for each class with each child’s name on it monitoring progress daily. Implement-first of school.

What grade level do you teach? I teach 8th grade math and algebra and have done 3 act math tasks for my 8th grades, used U-cubed inspirational math for the last couple of years and am looking at implementing vertical surfaces uses the wipebooks that were advertised on this site.

    Fantastic learning log!

The weeks of inspirational math are really good to use and I find quite easy to get started with. The VNPS is something you can do inexpensively with cheap bathtub board at Home Depot or Wipebook flipcharts as mentioned.

Looking forward to hearing how this goes!
