    My main goals for 2019-20 school year:

    • Spiral grade 6, 7, & 8 course curricula
    • Consistently employ the Curiosity Pathway in my lesson sequences
    • Help my students build a culture of resilience
    • Plan with intention

    I have already started a bare bones plan for spiraling, but I need to solidify it by inserting specific topics and big ideas to create an overall schedule. Then, I need to adapt problems from my textbooks to fit the Curiosity Pathway and identify other resources (such as 3-Act Tasks) for each of the topics and big ideas in order to increase student engagement during class. Resiliency is a BIG part of our entire school conversation already, but we are finding the process to be really slow. My goal is to add value to math and find ways to help students increase resilience in solving all kinds of problems, not just those involving math.
