Hi my name Heather Morin. I am Cree and I teach in Muscowpetung  which is a First Nation community in Saskatchewan.  I teach grade 5 -6 and also teaching grade 7-8 math.  I would like to continue to make math interesting for my students.  I have to teach them basic skills and then move into the grade 7 -8 math curriculum.  My grade 5-6 classroom are continuing to move forward in their learning. I would like to learn how to teach some of the concepts in grade 8 math such as linear equations, perfect square roots etc.  I loo forward to learning from everyone

    Hey there Heather,

Welcome! Check out the growth lab and we’d recommend starting with the mini course The Concept Holding Your Students Back. It can help with teaching linear relations.
