    How to engage students at a variety of math levels?

    I teach first grade and have students that are at a fourth grade level as well as some that are pre-K. I want to engage all my students as well as meet them where they are and help them grow in their math understanding through the year.

    With limited time (I teach virtually and have live class session 25 minutes long) I want to have activities that stretch my students without overwhelming them.

    I have students writing their own math stories and they love that (we do not use the word problems in my class) they are math stories and number sentences:)

    I want to get them thinking and exploring math more and using logic skills as well as building on what they already know.
