What are your big take-aways from this video?

What are you hoping to implement now?

What will you need more time to reflect on prior to implementing?

I really like the idea that you create the culture that the 1-on-1 meeting is an important part of your class. I also think that meeting with students during flex time can be powerful with your students who appear to need more time with you. Like Katy, I primarily teach remediation classes and my district works hard at keeping those classes at 12 or fewer students which does allow a bit more time to have 1-on-1 conversations with students. My administration will also allow me to pull students from their lunch time to work with small groups (they eat in my class room).
