  • Hi from MA

My name is Sarah Khan and I’m a high school math teacher in Concord, MA.  I have taught all grades and levels at some point, but I’m currently teaching lower level Algebra 2 and Precalculus.  I’ve enrolled in this workshop because I feel like despite my best intentions, my students are not engaged in the math I’m teaching.  I can pretend that they are engaged in class because I have pretty good relationships with most of them, but they are not interested in or retaining the math I’m trying to teach.  I want to make changes in my classroom that stick, so I’m looking for new ideas, new ways to think about planning…resources…  anything really!

    Welcome @sarah-khan

I think a lot of us have been or are in this situation. We’re looking forward to helping you and learning with you while you’re on this journey!

Hi Sarah! I am searching for teachers from MA on here. I am in Norton, MA and teach 6th grade math. Would love to share ideas and experiences! Have you found a useful approach to using the MMMM Academy. What has been most beneficial/helpful? You can read my long intro to hear about my experience to date in teaching math. And being a big user of Khan Academy, I can’t help but ask – any relation?
