    Hello from Strathmore, Alberta, Canada!

    My name is Michelle and I’m from a tiny school in Strathmore Alberta. I’ve been teaching grade 11 and 12 math and physics for the last ten years. This year, they added grade 9 math to my schedule which has been interesting. I’m hoping to improve my students ability to learn math and also to help them LIKE math! I have a fairly heavy course load so I am hoping that some of the resources on this site will ease my workload and help me to improve as a teacher.

    I have a very supportive husband as well as 7 and 5 year old boys. In addition to teaching, I am also in the middle of the MMT program at the University of Waterloo! Life is busy but exciting!

    Welcome to the community! Grade 9 is right in the sweet spot for much of what we do around here. Pedagogically, the courses can be applied k-12, but we tend to hang out in the grade 5-10 range for math lessons. Be sure to check out the tasks area!
