    Hello 🙂

    I am a new instructional coach for a middle school in Chambersburg, PA. Before becoming a coach, I was an 8th grade Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 teacher for 10 years, a 7th grade general and advanced math teacher for 5 years, and an intervention teacher for 3 years.

    Needless to say, I have had a hand in teaching math to all levels of students in the middle school and am excited to bring more to our students through using engaging tasks. It is my hope to learn more and be able to bring more to my colleagues and the students in our building to help make math fun and engaging for everyone.

    And in the age of one-to-one devices in the classroom, finding a balance of technology and hands-on activities is difficult. We all have had to learn on the fly and often on our own on how to best teach math in a blended environment. I’m not sure I still have the best practices on “blended learning.”

    My hope is to help find answers to help teachers better engage, teach, and reach the students in our classrooms here and now.
