    Hello everyone! My name is Stacie and I work in Old Saybrook, CT. I am a district math coach/instructional leader for the district, working with PreK – Grade 12. I am new to this position after working in the elementary classroom for almost 20 years. I am appreciative of this opportunity to join in as our district, like so many others, is trying to implement distance learning. I have been a follower of Making Math Moments all year and have been interested in learning more about increasing engagement of our older students grades 8-12. Not only am I interested in learning how to increase engagement for students, I am also interested in how I can support the teachers I work with to do the same for their students. As a member of this academy it is my hope that I can learn some ways to help the teachers I work with to become more comfortable trying new approaches and maybe find a couple of ways to incorporate that learning into a distance learning format as well.
