    My name is Isabel Cabales and I live in Long Island, New York. I started my career 21 years ago in an elementary school teaching 6th grade. After three years, I shifted to 4th grade as the district was moving the 6th graders to our middle school. I then spent 15 years in 4th grade, looped one year to 5th, and then made a big change by going to first grade. I loved each and every grade for a variety of reasons and was ready to live as a primary teacher until a new position became available in the middle school. It peaked my interest and here I am, a 6th grade Math Inquiry Lab teacher. I teach all 450 students once a week. Math Inquiry Lab allows students to tackle 6th grade priority standards while engaged in tiered tasks. I absolutely love being in the middle school!
