    Hi-

    I’m Julie Pottinger, a 6th grade math teacher from Grove City, Pennsylvania. I returned to teaching this year after 14 years of being out of the classroom… I spent the past 8 or so years writing/ editing textbooks- which was ironic since I never taught from one… Over the past year, I created/ adapted almost every lesson and every lesson material I used– this is what I’ve always done, but it’s more challenging now that I have 4 kids at home! I’m hoping that this community will help me to focus and streamline my plans as I head into my second year in this position.

    Hi @juliepottinger! So nice to meet you!

    That IS ironic about writing textbooks despite you wanting to essentially customize lessons for yourself. Hopefully, the Academy will provide you the community you crave!
