How do you plan to use this task?

After reviewing the Teacher Guide, do you still have any wonders or worries?

Once you’ve used the task, be sure to share what modifications you made either before or during the task and what you might do differently next time.

I am going to use the first video with my first graders this week to teach the Notice & Wonder protocol and to get them thinking about estimation. Then I will bring it out again when we dive into subtraction.

I am going to test run this activity with my grade 2,4, 6 children. We would be working on count on strategy with respect to their grade-level complexity.

When I attempt to download the lesson plan, it says that the “connection has been reset”. Is there a way to gain access to the file? Thank you, in advance, Andrea

@andrea-earle it seems to be working for me. Can you give it another shot?

It must have something to do with my district’s “firewall”. Even the trick of “turning off McAfee Endpoint Security Web Control” suggested by my IT expert did not work. I will try with my son’s computer at home.

Worked great! Thank you for the “download” option. It really helps the tech part of the lesson run smoothly 🙂
