    My name is Andie Snyder and I teach Math 1 (Algebra 1) and Math 3 (Algebra 2) in Davidson, North Carolina. While I’ve been teaching high school math for 6 years, my education and the bulk of my experience is in elementary education, not math!! I was always good at math growing up, but never in a million years would I have predicted that I’d find myself teaching it, no less at the high school level! Because my colleagues are all brilliant mathematicians, it’s a bit of a insecurity of mine. So I am endlessly looking for the best way to reach my kiddos.

    I’ve recently been doing a lot of research on 3-Act Tasks, and the notion of the “Thinking Classroom” with VNPS’s and VPG. I’m very much looking forward to this Academy and all that I will learn from it!
