Engaging students to create their own mathematical understandings
I want to find and engage students in mathematical tasks that create an excitement to learn math and also gives students the tools they need to make sense of mathematics they have not yet learned.
Like most teachers now, I am worried about how this will work online. I am feeling overwhelmed by all of the online manipulatives for students and I am concerned about how I am going to use Canvas effectively and efficiently, so it does not get in the way of students math learning/understanding. In my district, 6th grade is in middle school so my students have not used Canvas before.
