The board games and card games are so important for developing early number sense and they are missing from many American homes. When my kids were little they played games and cards with their grandparents and it made early math more accessible. Somehow we need to get parents to see that these activities are just as important as reading to their children daily.

Hi, thanks. I so loved the maths games and how it should be fun. Yes, teaching them the concepts and saying the vocabulary whilst playing is important in the knowledge of learning the correct words of maths. I am going to be teaching Year 10 maths this term and so I am educating myself. I personally need to enjoy maths rather than making it a task. 😀
