  • Circumference vs. Height

How do you plan to use this task?

After reviewing the Teacher Guide, do you still have any wonders or worries?

Once you’ve used the task, be sure to share what modifications you made either before or during the task and what you might do differently next time.

Can someone help me out here? Can I also somehow connect this to linear relations? I’m trying to make connections between concepts in my curriculum but I’m not a math specialist. Wondering if I can squeeze additional learning out of this context. Thanks for your support!

      Hi @Rebecca-Thompson

Super cool that you’re hoping to use the task.

Out of curiosity, what about this task is drawing you to want to connect it to linear relations? While it could be connected to a direct variation (or proportional relationship) linear relation where you have x = radius of circle, y = circumference (where the constant is π), maybe there is another task that might fit better for linear relations?
Have you checked out the Stacking Paper task + the two sequels? They aren’t in the Curiosity Task Tool yet, but you can find them here.
