Carla’s progress log
1. Make and then don’t break the chain of curiosity tasks daily next year.
2. Lower the floor on tasks to reach all the students in front of me, and be ready to raise the roof when some are ready. I’m usually best at reaching the low level kids, but I don’t always challenge those who “get it”.
3. I want to change the way I do summative assessments. I want to learn more about assessing more frequently and spiraling. This will mean breaking away from the pack, everyone in my department, and that’s scary.
4. I want to reach out to virtual colleagues for ideas and support and worry less about trying to convince my proximal colleagues how this could work. I’m doing the work, building my knowledge of my craft, I am not responsible for their choices.
