    My goals for the rest of the school year are:

    1). I want my student to have an increased level of number sense as they move to middle school.

    2). I want to instill conceptual knowledge in my students, rather than Stand and Deliver methods.

    3). I want to increase my understanding of mathematics so I can better support my students.

    Love your goals. Very intentional and realistic! Any thoughts on which you’ll focus in on first and what your plan might be to get started?

    I think I want to start by focusing on building number sense in my students. My plan is to play around with some rich tasks to help build those skills. I do realize it is a bit late in the school year, but I want to see what works so I can be ready to implement these processes on the first day of school next year.

      Honestly, there is so much work to be done around number sense including modelling and leveraging student generated strategies. It is never too late to start and I’d argue you’ve got some amazing opportunities in the tasks area:
