My biggest concern with my classes is the diversity and range of learners. I have some classes that are great with problem solving but some that really struggle with it.

Hi Wendy, we have the same struggle here. classes can range from students with a 2nd or 3rd grade ability range, students on track for 7th grade, and a few who have mastered CCSS for 7th grade and have moved beyond. Helping teachers differentiate in a way that doesn’t consume their entire weekend prepping for and supports all learners is a constant trial and error.

This is a SUPER common problem. You’ve come to the right place because Jon and I are big into trying to lower that floor so all students can enter tasks and achieve at high levels in math class.

Have you considered starting “The Concept Holding Your Students Back” course? That will take you on a journey to lowering the floor and raising the ceiling!
