Posted by Jody Sielski on March 19, 2020 at 10:57 amHow are those of you who have been working with Making Math Moments that Matter for a while using the same system through on-line means?

@jody-sielski It can be tough to spark curiosity through online means. One tool and corresponding resources that have been doing a great job at this is Desmos. Check out the lessons and activities at https://teacher.desmos.com

Hi Jody,
I have been really struggling with this! I found a few webinars that show how you can facilitate a notice and wondering and small group work while hosting virtual class meetings. Here’s one: https://courses.almyeducation.com/products/how-to-move-your-math-or-science-class-online-free-webinar. I have only watched a few minutes with the craziness of school closing and learning a completely new platform, but I sense that it is a great resource. Good luck!!

I haven’t been using it for a while, but I am hoping to use some of the tasks with my 6th graders as we moved forward in distance learning. I am currently trying to start with the Shot Put task since we are currently learning about expressions and equations.
My question is how do I post the video links in another online space (Canvas) so that my students can access the video?
