As a middle school teacher I had never heard the term number path. Knowing students who struggle struggle with magnitude I wonder what I can incorporate to ease them into a better understanding. Students who also struggle with handwriting can be reluctant to use a number line so incorporating digital tools might help them with this and help me to see their thinking.
