This year, I went to a group of teachers who were questioning students with “How many tens are in ___” with some student work. When I marked the student answers incorrect on that question, it sparked a conversation. They’ve tried to change their semantics now that they have understanding, but I love the way you phrased it here! I wish they could hear and see this as well! It would be so helpful. I’ll have to do some advertising.
