Oh wow. I hate to say that I don’t know how much we address magnitude AT ALL in our K-4 classrooms. The whole time I’m watching this I’m thinking of our third graders that struggle with rounding and just reasoning about the number system. We have to start these conversations and ideas in the earliest years. I’m sure if we did it would make such a difference!
