    This was a very useful overview of fractions. I like the way you went way back to the beginning of fractional thinking–brownies. Wouldn’t it be great if parents knew how to develop these concepts very gradually over time by modeling with goodies. And as we teachers progress in our careers, we find more and more opportunities to reinforce these concepts/vocabulary outside of math class–lining up in groups (sets), kids wearing certain colors of shoes, dividing up the class for games, etc.
