    hello everyone!

I am currently on maternity leave for my third daughter, but getting ready to head back to the “classroom” in the next few months – although it will look very different from when I left. I work in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada and schools here are most likely to be closed for the next while. The province it attempting a shift to online learning supports, but the role we as teachers will play is still undecided.

I have qualification to teach from Kindergarten to Grade 8, a specialist in Mathematics and my part two in Special Education. Most of my past teaching has been in developmentally delayed classrooms or as the school wide support teacher for resource and special education. This will be the first time I’m going back to a mainstream classroom, and I might not ever get to meet the students, depending on when I go back.

I’m looking forward to expanding and enriching my math understanding and pedagogy. I hope to create a valuable support network for this new challenge.

Hope everyone is safe in these crazy times.
