I am a Bilingual Primary Teacher working in a suburban public school. I am currently teaching second grade. I have only taught in the primary grades.  I have had students from Kindergarten to Third grade.  This is my seventh year in the classroom. 

I worked as a Parent Educator for ten years before becoming a licensed teacher. My bachelors degree is in Psychology. I supported parents with children from Birth to Three years old. I provided information about their infant and toddler’s child development and how to manage their parental challenges. 

I work with ELL students and find that giving them tasks keeps them engaged and wiling to share their ideas more compared to my traditional way of teaching math ever has.  I look forward to learning a lot from these courses and the community of educators here.
