    Recently in the math makes sense workshop, Kyle did an activity estimating how many hearts his daughter would have on her shirt on various upcoming days. I am just trying to see if I can find the activity. Anyway, I haven’t used tiles much in the past in my senior math classes, mainly because I am not comfortable enough using them. I had my pre-calculus 12 students complete this activity as a warm up and they needed to demonstrate a couple methods that could be used to solve. The visual using the tiles for area was powerful.

    I would love a workshop on the use of manipulatives. I was a non-believer.
