    Hi Everyone,

    My name is Scott Monahan, and I’m in Alliston, ON.

    After almost 8 years out of the regular classroom (first as a regional digital literacy resource teacher and then as a teacher-librarian), I’m back teaching Grade 7 (and loving it). That being said, I want to “up my game” in terms of math teaching and learning from what I was doing 8 years ago and have certainly found the podcast to be a helpful jump start. I’m here because I want to extend on what I’ve been learning from the podcast and connect to a community who are exploring similar issues.

    I’ve got a science/biology background, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been doing that. Although I don’t have any formal background in technology/computer science, I have been lucky to have some great experiences in the instructional technology realm including piloting an open source classroom (went well for me, but wasn’t scalable) and help roll out Google Apps/G Suite in our school board.

    Anyway – back to planning – looking forward to learning!
