    Greetings from Newcastle, Ontario. My name is Maggie Ewert and I am now teaching locally (after years abroad in Morocco and Scotland). I started out in Physical and Health Education and got to Math by way of a decade as a teacher-librarian on my way into a grade 7/8 homeroom. One of our board’s math consultants introduced me to Tap Into Teen Minds among other awesome resources and since then, the Make Math Moments approach has really resonated with me and with my students. I completed the online workshop last winter/spring, immersed my class along with me and want to maintain the momentum in the new school year. I have given myself a few weeks off to recharge and enjoy this glorious summer. This is my welcome back; glad to be here among so many colleagues from all over the globe!
