Structuring homework take up has always given me some pause. Lately, I’ve chosen a few problems from the homework and had students move to the boards around the outside of the room to share their solutions with a random partner. The focus is to “talk” about what strategies they’ve tried. I then highlight a few as a class. I find this to be more interactive on their part than just me explaining the homework. What strategies are working for you?
