    Hi, I’m Tracey from Burton, BC in the Kootenays. I currently teach a k-3 class, which will expand next year to include grade 4. Looking forward to expanding my math knowledge in order to create diverse, engaging and in-depth math activities.

    I find that with such a large gap it can become easy to “rush” some students ( a grade) ahead.  This site and its focus on concrete fading and fully understanding concepts (ie proportional reasoning) are reinforcing my goal of being a more observational, process-oriented teacher.

    Thanks for all the great resources – and a platform for seeing the “forest through the trees”
