    Hello Mathletes!

    My name is Tristan Kittilson and I am a 5th-grade teacher at Glenwood City Elementary (WI). I have been at Glenwood my entire career (9 years) and teach all math. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in mathematics. I have always had a passion for math and teaching math. About 7/2 years ago I got the opportunity to be involved in a math grant, which basically completely flipped my math and teaching world upside down and exposed me to such an amazing side of teaching, learning, and experiencing math. This grant, unfortunately, ran out of funding and so I jumped at the possibility of joining the Making Math Moments Academy to be a part of something very special and learn as much as I possibly can to become the best possible teacher I can be for my students, but as we know they deserve it. And I know through the leadership and vision of both Kyle and Jon we will take those small steps, one day at a time, toward a much richer, deeper, joyous math future in our classrooms and schools! 🙂
