Thanks for taking baby steps with this. I spent the last year working on eliminating the pre-teach and increasing the Notice & Wonder, and we had fun with estimation (7th graders). I laughed when you were substituting student names to create relevance and curiosity–I do that only to separate tasks between classes, haha, so I can tell which class the tasks belonged to. But you’re right, we can withhold information to increase the student buy-in. I love it, and I plan to work on this aspect of lesson implementation. Lots of great ideas here.
Is it at the Academy level that you talk about the other strategies that you said you won’t go into detail about in this course?
