One takeaway is the idea of problem-based tasks being a gold-mine for formative assessment. I agree with this. I really enjoy listening to students discuss and problem solve together. A wonder that I have is how to document observations. I know that Jon Orr has mentioned that he records conversations. And from the Building Thinking Classrooms book Peter has a checklist style model. I want to try these and I’m interested in Fresh Grade.
