    I first was thinking a lot about the double number line aspect of this task and how I am using double number lines with my 7th grade students as they understand more about percentages. Then the pause to think about the quotative division sent me more toward my 8th grade students–some who are struggling with rate of change in in linear relationships. I think going to the Hot Chocolate task may be very useful for some students. Seeing the rate of 3 scoops per glass and then taking the next step of inputting glasses and outputting total number of scoops–all visually.
