I just finished Module 2, though I still need to report on a lesson I’m going to modify on Monday. Lots of good ideas on how to make math lessons more engaging by withholding information. Having students engage with a notice and wonder. Ask a question that they can estimate on and then gradually give information they can improve their estimates on. Math fights are a good way to get students to notice and wonder. How can I improve my planning to incorporate these ideas? Right now with the extra caseload from my colleage that retired early, I’m planning day by day, and I have 3 classes to prepare for. Any ideas on ways to best manage my planning and improving lessons?
