    I would definitely start with a visual of some kind. (A video or demonstration). I like the idea of having them notice and wonder, then estimating. Turing this into a 3-act task would get the students interested and wanting to figure it out. I would also make sure to encourage multiple representations of their solutions. To lower the floor, I would consider starting with the same units and/or smaller amount, to gain student confidence, then do this activity as a finale.
