    I have introduced both the double number line and the ratio table to my students, but I appreciated the distinction made between them: the number line needs to scale proportionately, while jumps on the ratio table can be by different scaling factors according to the situation. For my current lessons I am using Kathy Fosnot’s Contexts for Learning kits which my school recently acquired, and the double number line and ratio table are suggested as powerful models for understanding. So nice to see my PD dovetailing with the resource I’m so excited to be using in my class!
