    I liked the idea of having students be able to justify their answers by different representational methods. Sometimes when I ask them to explain their answers they just want to say. “I did math,” but if they have more tools such as a double number line, an equation, a table or a picture, perhaps they can think more effectively and explain more effectively. I think I am going to challenge my early finishers to justify their answers by using at least 2 methods.
