My big take away is that there is purpose in naming and noticing the 2 types of proportional relationships. I need to keep working on my noticing and naming of it so I can help students notice the difference in the type of problems in which they engage in.
I am wondering how my textbook groups these problems. Do they just randomly intermingle these contexts or do they focus on a type n a particular lesson. I think this will give me new eyes that will ultimately help students.
