I agree with every one above about making the task visual, but, being in America where students are not comfortable with the metric system, I might start with a video of pouring the 250 mL into a liter container and estimate how may it would take to fill it on day 1. Day 2 might move to having 4 liters to fill (like the Hot Chocolate task). Day 3 might be when I’d show the 6 jugs. Each day could have estimation related to the task.
