Given my class will be in person and they will all have access to Chromebooks I know I will be using quite a bit of Google slides. I guess my question I’m asking myself is how often do I have them close their Chromebooks to cut down the potential distraction for some of them. I’m thinking the warm up could be just with whiteboards and we establish that the hook will be without technology. This would also prevent a little bit of Google search to get a better approximation depending on the question as well. I believe I also mentioned the concerns about students that just wait for the “good at math” students to answers and simply say “what she said!” I did once ask one of those students to intentionally give me wrong answers but not tell me when they were. That actually helped … but I forgot that I asked that student to do that!
